Visa Pathways for International Candidates
The most common avenues for international candidates to enter the UK is through a Skilled Worker Visa or a Graduate Visa, particularly for those who studied in a UK university. There are other avenues for those who haven't lived in the UK before to land a visa-sponsored role in the UK, which we offer advisory support for as part of your time here at the Academy.
Graduate / Post study Work Visa
The Graduate Visa allows graduates to stay and work in the UK without needing a sponsor. It is ideal for recent graduates who wish to upskill before they register with a visa-sponsored employer.
Eligibility: Completion of a degree from a recognized UK university.
Cost: £715 plus the IHS of £624 per year.
Duration: 2 years for undergraduate/master’s graduates, 3 years for PhD holders.
Explore more details on the Graduate Visa page.
Skilled Worker Visa
The Skilled Worker Visa is a key route for professionals such as data analysts, software developers, financial experts, consultants, and HR managers.
Eligibility: Requires a job offer from a licensed UK employer that meets minimum salary and skill-level requirements. Typically, the salary must be at least £38,700 or higher if you’re over 26, or £30,760 if you’re under 26.
Cost: £625 to £1,423 depending on visa length and application location, plus the Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS) of £624 per year.
Duration: Up to 5 years with the option to extend or apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) after 5 years.
